Easter Egg Hunt

Lauren and Lady bug
2008 egg hunt with friends
2007 egg hunt
Here are a few pictures from the last 2 years of Easter egg hunts with the Lincoln Mom's Club. This year Lauren knew the drill so was a wild women collecting eggs at the speed of light.....

I am actually glad the hunt was early in the month. It has allowed us more time to discuss the true meaning and reason behind Easter. One good book we have is called "Easter Surprise" http://www.amazon.com/Easter-Surprise-Lift-Flap-Board/dp/075861148X/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1205783874&sr=8-1
This book has helped us to share about Christ's death and resurrection in a child friendly lift-the-flap format.

Bye-bye pacifier

Okay so its been loooooooong overdue. Shannon has been attached to her pacifier since birth. We limited it to naptime and bedtime (for the most part in the last year :), and finally we made the big jump to be paci-free! After a trip to Target to pick out a little horse like her sister's, Shannon was all for getting rid of the pacifiers and sending them to babies....up until bed time, but after a good 15 minutes of saying she didn't want her horse and didn't want babies to have her pacifiers, she slept soundly all night :)

Even though I will not miss being woken at night to find a missing pacifier, I will miss her cute paci-face and her "just one more minute?" question after getting up....adios paci.

Mom's Visit

Last week my mom flew down for my birthday which was very fun. We had a nice time visiting and the girls got some good extra lovin. :)

So Shannon has some lovely allergies since everything is in bloom here in Northern Californa.....runny nose, watery eyes, and an attitude the size of Texas :) Its been pretty wild here....I am sure our neighbors think I have caged animals...if something does not go along with Shannon's plans, she lets us know loud and clear...there have been many time-outs in her room to save Lauren and I from the constant drama! 2 1/2 is a dandy age :) I can't wait to repeat this when they are teens!
